📠 How to Send a Fax Using SendFax.to (Email-to-Fax)

Overview

The SendFax.to Email-to-Fax platform allows you to send faxes directly from your email—no physical fax machine required. This service converts email attachments into fax transmissions quickly and securely.

🔐 Authorization Requirements

To send a fax, your email address must be authorized.

• Each fax-enabled phone number (DID) can have one or more authorized outbound groups
• Each group can include:
  • Up to 100 individual email addresses, or
  • An entire domain (e.g., @yourcompany.com)
• Only users within authorized groups can send faxes

✉️ Sending a Fax (Basic Method)

1. Open a new email from your authorized email address
2. In the To field, enter the fax number using this format:

NPANXXXXXX@sendfax.to

📌 Example:

2545551234@sendfax.to

3. Attach your document(s):
   • Supported formats: PDF, PNG, DOC/DOCX
4. Click Send

✅ Your attachments will be converted and transmitted as a fax to the destination number.

📤 Selecting a Specific Fax Number (Caller ID)

If you have access to multiple outbound fax numbers (DIDs), you can specify which number to send from.

Format:

<YourFaxDID>@NPANXXXXXX.sendfax.to

📌 Example:

2545550001@2545551234.sendfax.to

• The first number = your outbound fax number (Caller ID / Station ID)
• The second number = recipient fax number

🔄 Multiple Fax Numbers (No Selection Made)

If you are authorized for multiple fax numbers and do not specify one:

• You will receive an automatic reply email
• This email will prompt you to select the desired outbound fax number

📥 Inbound Faxing (T.38 Support)
